Building Construction Technologies - Two Year Program

The Building Construction Technologies program offers a comprehensive, hands-on introduction to light residential construction, preparing students for careers in the building trades or further technical education. Over two years, students split time between classroom learning, lab work, and real job sites—developing the skills, safety habits, and professional work ethic that the construction industry demands.

Year 1 Program Overview

In Year 1 of Building Construction Technologies, students gain hands-on experience in light residential construction. Working both in the classroom and on real job sites, students learn how to safely operate hand and power tools while building the structural components of homes and other residential projects.

Year 2 Program Overview:

Year 2 continues the construction training with more advanced projects and finish work. Students refine their framing skills while gaining experience in exterior and interior construction elements, blueprint reading, and more detailed carpentry.
